How It Works
GalleryAdvisory.com is a place to share information and personal experiences about galleries, private dealers, museums, academic galleries, and all manner of exhibition situations. We are building a network to protect artists and patrons from unscrupulous institutions and to recognize and build support for institutions that are “doing it right.” The artworld is a diverse community and we welcome input from all — if you make art, show art, buy art, or appreciate art, we cordially invite your participation.
By sharing your experiences, we can cultivate a strong resource that will help others make better career choices, wiser purchases, and find those “shouldn’t miss” venues. The site is free, it’s fast, and extremely easy to use. Join us during this exciting “incubation” phase and help us build a more accountable and responsive art system.

Find Or Rate an Institution
Our initial database contains over 3,000 galleries and exhibition spaces in the top 60 U.S. art cities. While it’s a good start, we know we’ve missed some. If you don’t find the gallery that you’re searching for, please add it. Don’t worry if you don’t know the address, zip, etc. If you supply the name, city, and state, we’ll find the rest. Thanks for helping us build a comprehensive resource for artists, collectors, and art appreciators.
